2004 Merckx MX Leader | |||||||||||||||||
---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|
All pure perfect steel. MAX MXL Columbus tubes drawn to Eddy Merckx's specifications his own lug set, and special fork crown. It is built with "Century Geometry"; more relaxed than a dedicated racer and better able to still feel good after a long day in the saddle. Has 1" threadless Columbus MAX fork.
This bike rides like a dream; extremely stable, fast and both fluid in climbing or descending. Riding double centuries is a pleasure. Really excels on the rough pavement and now with some old school Giro-style short aero bars it's even more fun when the wind blows. This is the one bike that will never have fenders, it just wouldn't be right...
